In the glass, it displays an intense ruby-red color. On the nose, aromas of cherry, plum, and red berries emerge, accompanied by delicate floral notes of red rose and violet, as well as a subtle spiciness that complements the Sangiovese without overpowering it.
On the palate, it is well-balanced, with fine tannins, a pleasant freshness, and a structure that will support its evolution over time. Aging in oak subtly rounds out the wine, allowing the fruit and the vineyard’s character to shine through.
This wine pairs well with Tuscan cuisine, from cured meats to medium-aged cheeses, from pici with ragù to red meats. It’s also worth trying with a tomato-based fish soup.
Serve at a temperature between 16 °C and 18 °C.
