Un amor di fico
Starting in September, every evening, when the light begins to change.
“Un Amor di Fico” is an invitation to discover one of the most unique places in Sangiolele: our orchard of heirloom fig trees.
The tour begins with a walk through the trees, during which we share the story of our orchard, the different varieties, and the work that goes into tending them each year. It’s a journey that offers insight into a little-known agricultural heritage that is deeply rooted in Mediterranean culture.
Guests are then invited to pick the figs they’d like to taste directly from the tree, choosing from the varieties that are ripe at that time. The figs can be enjoyed in the shade of the fig grove or taken home at the end of the visit.
The tasting continues with a selection of local specialties, our extra virgin olive oil, and the estate’s wine, paired with freshly picked figs. A simple and convivial experience, designed to highlight the flavors of the season and tell the story of Sangiolele through its produce.

Playing Together
At Sangiolele, there’s also room for fun. A ping-pong table and a foosball table offer a chance to get together, compete, and enjoy some lighthearted fun. Because a vacation is also about impromptu games, laughter, and carefree moments.

Upon request, we organize truffle-hunting experiences with local truffle hunters and their trained dogs. It’s an opportunity to get an up-close look at one of the region’s most authentic traditions, surrounded by forests, nature, and local flavors.

Accompanied by a professional E-xplora.it cycling tour guide, you can explore the Val d’Orcia along dirt roads, through vineyards, and past historic villages on Ducati or Merida e-bikes. The itineraries are customized based on your experience level and the time you have available.
Horseback Rides

Just a few minutes from the estate, you can explore the Val d’Orcia on horseback. We partner with a riding school located just four minutes from Sangiolele, which organizes rides suitable for both beginners and more experienced riders.
Hot Springs
The health benefits of thermal waters
Upon request, we can arrange a private car transfer to the thermal baths at Bagno Vignoni or Rapolano Terme, so you can enjoy a relaxing day among thermal pools, wellness treatments, and the Tuscan countryside.
Golf
A 15- to 20-minute drive from Sangiolele lies the Castiglion del Bosco Golf Club, one of Italy’s most exclusive courses. For members and guests authorized to access the course, the estate is the ideal place to enjoy a day of golf amid the tranquility of the Tuscan countryside.
