Our wine is made exclusively from grapes grown on our estate. We produce only what our vineyard has to offer, because we believe that every bottle should be an authentic expression of the land from which it comes.
In the vineyard, we work with low yields and minimal intervention, respecting the rhythm of the seasons and guiding each vine through its natural cycle. In the winery, we continue with the same approach: spontaneous fermentation, no fining or filtration, and aging periods that follow the wine’s natural progression, without forcing the process.
We bottle our wine according to the phases of the moon, a practice rooted in rural tradition that continues to guide our work.
Isotta Sveva, Aida, and Sofia are all made from 100% Sangiovese. Each expresses its own identity, allowing the soil, the season, and every single harvest to tell their own story in the glass.
Isotta Sveva is Sangiolele’s signature wine. It is made exclusively from grapes grown at Tre Filari, a small Sangiovese vineyard that is over sixty years old and continues, harvest after harvest, to reflect the character of this place.
This is a wine we wanted to dedicate to our granddaughter Isotta Sveva, who was born in Tokyo in the very year of the first harvest from which this wine was made. She is joined by Aida, the name of the little Japanese friend with whom she shared her early years.
Two little girls, two names, two wines that embody a family history and look toward the future of Sangiolele
Aida is a wine that, year after year, reflects the character of each harvest, allowing the soil, the climate, and the work in the vineyard to express themselves naturally.
It is named after Aida, our granddaughter Isotta Sveva’s first friend during the years they spent together in Tokyo. A small family bond that lives on even among the rows of Sangiolele vines.
Sofia is our Sangiovese rosé. It comes from the estate’s own vineyards, but offers a different take on Sangiovese: fresh, delicate, and unpretentious, perfect for accompanying the simplest moments of togetherness.
It is named after Sofia, Aida’s little sister. Like Isotta Sveva and Aida, this wine also carries a family story, reminding us that every new vintage is special.
